April Fools was quite interesting I guess. More interesting than last year. (since it fell on a sunday) 4C managed to do something this year! *clap clap* We turned our tables to face the noticeboard at the back of the class and actually moved the teacher's table back there too! lol.

But heard another class did the same thing, and said that they were the originals. basket! it was orginal for us too!

Lots of stuff have been happening recently. But the thing is, I'm lazy to blog everything.

2 years back, VSCO played 新年组曲 for CNY celebrations.

This year we played the same song.

2 years back there was this talent quest thingy. 2 years on, its happening once again.

Random guy(s) sang 童话 for the talent quest on both occasions.

Deja vu, huh?

Oh the difference: I DIDNT ~~ATTEMPT TO~~ STYLE MY HAIR THEN! =D

Haha yea, got quite a lot of reactions about that when I tried to style. =X
Most people seemed -shocked- by my new hair.

3 more days to my brother's birthday... then 7 minutes later it's mine. WUHAHA.

I don't really enjoy the 'age privilege' of sixteen. Such as being able to watch NC16 movies ( I don't really watch any movie.) , play billiard (Last time I tried was at Gavin's Birthday, and that was like 6 months ago. I sucked at it ): ), have legal sex [correct me if I'm wrong.] (I'm so innocent. HAHA)

Haha recently realised that VS alot of people (esp in lower sec) have to make a blog for their english assignment. Reading these kinda blogs are damn sian 'coz

1) The title ends with a " (Please Mark.) " or something like that.

2) The entries are basically one long chunk of text.

Hehe thats why, (I think) that some people have a personal blog, and not merge their 'marked' entries together with their daily rants.

sec 1 camp

Well, its my 3rd time in 4 years back for sec1 orientation camp.

& the above picture's basically the first photo I took. In four years. -.-

Picture shows all the red shirts sleeping. And some awake. HEY they're all PSLs! (:

Okie if you're wondering how come I suddenly appear at the sec1 camp, thats because me and Musli took a cab there. Don't ask the cab fare. T.T

Taught bridge to Shao Wei, Kasidet, Adil and Ernest Chin. Haha they all not bad le (I hope.. lolx!)
Adil is never play daidi before, so yea, its hard for him to play such an advanced game HAHA! But quite good learner (:
Shao Wei is like quite okie de, but over ambitious with the bids LOL.
Kasidet is rely on partner to win de. But he helps partner alot too. Lolx.
Ernest is really a fast learner, 5 sets in a row! HAHA.

Then after teaching I went to play bridge with the masters (Musli, Yun Han, Lin Chun and Wei Loong). Lin Chun slept early. So just nice (:

We played on until we decided we needed some rest. So we slept at 4.50am in the morning, hoping to wake up at 5.30am.

Then Yun Han woke me and Ernest up... at 5.15am. 'Coz he saw the wrong time I think. Spastic.
Then we sleep another 15min and wake up at 5.30am. It's kinda boring, so we extend to 6.00am. This time we really woke up. (: & we woke the others up too. (as in the bridge gang? lol)

But guess what. We're the last to sleep and first to wake up! (: So cool haha. -.-

Then we went to the other bunks to wake up our 2 other PSLs with 'sick ah!'. Guess who they are? LOL

After that then its 2.4 route marshalling, then breakfast and then zhao le. (:

Joined the sick bus to go back to vs... ~~sick ah~~

Taught Musli the cube on the way. YEA he can solve le!

Okie basically this camp as compared to last year's camp is MUCH better.

Although I was not happy about some parts.. (HAHA when am I happy about the whole thing?)

Seriously. Whats the difference?

VSCO December Camp 2007

The camp was one of the better camps I've been through as a committee member. We're kinda unlucky to have to have so many uncontrollable factors, such as the clashing of ccas. (4 ccas staying overnight in one go.. imagine that)

Someone impressed me greatly during the camp. =D

Okie if you're wondering, that's all I have to say about the camp.

PSLTC > VELOCI-T.

wah 60 JLs can't even cheer louder than 40 PSLs. Juniors cheer lously, then seniors still say, "OKIE! VERY GOOD!"

And I heard that the discipline of the camp is really quite bad. Even PSLTC's more strict.

& the most funny thing is that, not everyone's going for sec1 camp! wah then the other JLs for show only ah?

Its quite disappointing, cause LTC was damn fun when I went there last year, but now, its very sian, as I heard.

& as usual, some people there don't deserve their new red shirts. As in they dont even deserve space to waste a slot in the camp. and they still get promoted. cool hor?

And I heard they cheers very little throughout the camp, as compared to PSLTC.

PSLTC rocked.

It was fun, memorable & enjoyable. Looking back, it will be my last camp for PSB in my time in VS. Learned loads of stuff, but more importantly, hope that the juniors enjoyed the camp and learnt new things too, and of course, made new friends!

Haha sec2s are really nice people to be with, but I really cant stand certain sec2s. Their attitude sucks and rightfully, they doesnt get into leadership camps. =)

My nanogroup consisted of: Caleb, Fu Zhi, Jing Qun, Siddharth, Yu Fan. (names in alphabetical order, so you can't say I'm biased. HAH!) Dynamite Alpha rocks. Uh huh. Yeah. I think the new batch of PSLs are 'something more', as compared to our batch. Many of them were better than me when I was in the PSLTC 2006.

There were some who impressed me, some who developed during the camp, and those who disappointed me.

Some people develop during the camp, others develop AFTER the camp. I think I developed more after the camp, during sec3 life. Sec3 is like the prime year for developement, in terms of leadership and musical skill.

It doesn't matter when you develop, its what you do when you develop that matters.

So... what's after the camp? The EXCO now adds a 'senior' on their badge, their shirt has words printed in white instead of black now. Nothing really, its not the black shirt or new badge that counts, its what you do as a black shirt that counts...

What's the opposite of 'good'? Bad.

What's the opposite of 'TC?" CT.

Well VELOCI-T is scaring me. My juniors are complaining that it's damn sian there. And they went through PSLTC. 'nuff said.

Wah lao i dont want 70 completely sian-ed out juniors after the camp! Black shirts-to-be you do something! *poke poke*

The junior leaders and senior leaders are returning tommorrow. ^^

Subject comby results are releases. ~~As expected~~, more people chose VS2A (triple science geog) 133. as compared to VS3A (triple science history) 80.

Wah seems that people like ~~ME!~~ Mr Leo, Ms Sheika, Mr Thiru Ms Reny have ~~spread propoganda~~ taught the sec2s well this year!

One junior told me that more people took history this year 'coz of the teachers. Was it Jing Qun? I can't remember. -.-

best class will be a class of purely VS2A students. (duh.)

The tap's faulty. Water leaks out like free. There's already a big mess on the floor. I clean it up; yet more water spills. It sucks, being stuck in this same cycle again and again. I hate it when taps spoil. But when can I repair it?

Comparing my results to those of last year was quite depressing. Every subject has dropped. Last year my marks seemed so ~~imba~~ good as compared to the crap marks that I deliver now.

Regret of the year?

The politically correct answer would be ,"Oh I should have studied harder." or, "I should have worked harder for SYF."

Yeah but I feel that it was such a waste to not spend more time with my class. I do have a life outside CO you know.

Last year I was quite attached to my class, and was really upset we had to leave. Of course, I don't miss certain people but I miss loads of people and the fun we had then.

VS2A (Triple Science Geography) and VS2B (Triple Science History). That was what separated the most of us.

A lot of my close friends chose VS2A. But then again, some of my closest friends are in VS2B. =))
But same subject combination doesn't mean same class. Look at Calvin, Musli and Justin. Being so academically inclined, they all got into 3D. While the bulk of the 2I people taking history ~~got dumped~~ into 3C. I don't regret choosing VS2B, and definitely don't regret getting into 3C. :D

Had quite a bit of problem settling in at first but now its alright. :))))))))

Made lots of friends, like Fadhil, Gordon, Li Zhi, Sheng Qiang, Wen Jie, etc. (okie the etc at the end is to make the zi lian people less angry?), while strengthening bonds with people like ~~James Bond~~ the 2I people. Mr Kow , & some other random people that I know beforehand but can't remember now. paiseh. =.=

A Diamond's Fall From Grace

Once, there was this diamond, called Zirconia. Zirconia was still in the lithospheric mantle of the Earth. Half of a year passed and the gemstone went about unnoticed. Miners were looking for the 'perfect' one, but their trained eyes could only detect the ones who shone more than Zirconia, or more visually appealing than Zirconia. It was a nobody, just a allotrope of carbon which was ignored by everyone, inculding the miners themselves.

Autumn came, and the miners caught a glimpse of a familiar diamond sparkle. The miners were very happy, as they thought they finally found the 'perfect' diamond. They made plans to extract the diamond, and to polish the diamond so that Zirconia could become the "King of all Gemstones". A plan was drafted by the team of miners to obtain this Gem. These miners had seen the lot, they could tell a Jewel of a good potential from a similar Jewel which would never become a good one. They had extracted lots of wonderful diamonds, but they had never seen anything like Zirconia before.

The Plan was a partial success; the diamond was extracted from the mantle but the surface was not that smooth due to the jerky process. However, the diamond cutters were confident that they remove the crystallographic defects in it.

Winter soon came and past; spring followed suit. The diamond cutters were no experts; yet they could immediately forsee the bright and sparkling future of Zirconia. They started their project quickly. Zirconia impressed the team of cutters with the way the light refacted and reflected on the brillant surface of Zirconia. The cutters paid attention to every detail of the Gem, trying to cut the diamond in the way that light would undergo total internal reflection many times before exiting it. Zirconia was transparent; every type of light, be it a small beam of white light, or a red laser was beautifully presented.

Despite all this, Zirconia never knew it was a megastar, and just did its job of being appealing to the human eye. However, one day, Zirconia found out that diamonds were the hardest material on earth, and started being arrogant. Every other material, be it metal, carbon or flesh, were all deemed inferior to Zirconia.

The cutters were unable to see this flaw in Zirconia; it always displayed an image of a good gem in front of them. When the cutters left, Zirconia was the king of the world. Zirconia was intensely popular, its image it protrayed was very promising. Humans wanted a piece of Zirconia for themselves, as they saw Zirconia as a good luck charm.

The cutters were careless. They left Zirconia in a nitrogen chamber, as they presumed that nitrogen would help preserve the beauty of this jewel.

Unknowingly, nitrogen has affecting Zirconia- but in a negative way. Zirconia was not as flawless as before. The cutters did not notice that fact, and therefore were not able to do anything about it. When the cutters finally realised what was wrong, they tried to place Zirconia in other non-nitrogen chambers. Zirconia’s situation did not improve; as the nitrogen was embedded in the molecular structure of it, meaning whenever Zirconia went, nitrogen was sure to go. The intermolecular forces between carbon and nitrogen were too strong.

By this time, Zirconia’s surface was totally opaque, no light was about to pass through it.

With its renowned shine gone, Zirconia was worthless now.

Finally, for the first time in two years (or is it less?), I ate a mooncake. Not that eating one will get you a nobel prize. I normally don't keep track of the Chinese Calender, so when I see the candles by the roadside, it usually means that its the 7th month of the chinese calender. And I use mooncakes to estimate the mooncake festival (8month +). So naturally, when my parents did not buy any mooncake, then when everything was over I was like, "HUH? Over liao ah?"

Lotus mooncakes rock. =)

Tommorrow, VSCO is going to perform for some old folks at Geylang. Yes, old folks do live in Geylang. For the mid-autumn festival. ~~周杰伦's 夜曲~~月曲！

I just had my Science Practical Assessment (SPA) today. Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) and Potassium Maganate (VII) (KMnO₄).

Hey 'O' LEVELS LEH!

Everyone seemed like so panic outside the lab! Some try to cram in just a little more information just before we were called in.

We went in, did all the administrative stuff then started titrating with the familiar deep purple solution.

Managed to do the titration 3 times. Thats the first time I managed to do a titration more than once. Yes, my practical sucks from all the way since sec2. So lucky to do decently (I hope) for this SPA.

Checked with my classmates the titration value. Most of them got like 21.4cm³ to 21.5cm³ while my value was a 21.7cm³. Hope that does not get me too many marks deducted. =( Heard someone got 22+ cm³. Gosh.

After the SPA I realised that the cordon outside the science lab was gone. Sure makes sense since we are the last class to do the SPA.

Went to the CO room after that. Sylwyn asked me to get the string for him. He practices 6 hours on weekends. Won't say the word here. =)

Phoon Yi said he was staying until 4.30pm, stunned me and Bryan. Immediately told him we were locking up the room. =.= (Hey we wanted to eat too leh!)

Met Sherman and Wei Liang at the canteen and rubik-ed with them. =)

I think I (somehow) started a new trend in my class? Suddenly more and more cubes start appearing. Bernard, Gordon. Sheng Qiang, Azhari, Nawawi and some others (maybe?) own cubes. Yucheng is still waiting to buy his cube.

Must thank Wei Liang for teaching me the cube in the first place!

Hello all!

Did I manage to scare you?

Yes, judging by the fact that we all have just celebrated the second dead-blog-month. =)

2 months is a long time. Its a freaking 16.7% (3 sig fig) of a year. 2 months is also a full school term. I just realised that I blogged just before school reopened for term 3, and now, 2 months and ±15 days later, term 3 has passed, the week-long holiday is drawing to a close.

Oh, 2.00 months lah, if you want everything to be in three significant figures.

And I still haven't blogged.

So when did I realise this fact? When during the COLTC Wee Bian started to recited "Time passes so fast......" Linus added in, "Yar your post can memorise. BLOG LAHHHH!" (or something like that)

Ok, I promised to blog on 24th august, during the LTC. But I didn't. On many occasions.

One thing I feel that is really touching is the fact that even though there has been no (new) entries, there is still alot of people tagging. Thanks guys! (even though most of you just tag something like "UPDATE" or "HI/HELLO/YO". =)

I had been looking forward to COTLC ever since the end of the previous one; I wanted to experience it all over again, this time as a senior.

Well, I've done it now.

The atmosphere is different in both camps of the same name; yet there is this feeling of tradition and familiarness lingering...

I wanna be going through all this at the beginning...

Throughout the camp, there were people who impressed me. Then there were people who improved. Lastly there are people who disappointed, or are idiots.

Maybe 'idiot' seems a little too harsh?

The 12 (Benjamin, Bryan, Chen Ee, Emersius, Eusebio, Jing Qun, Jordan, Jun Wei, Lin Chun, Wai Hong, Wee Bian, Zhu Bin) were supposed to report at 7.15am. Committee reporting time was 6.30am.

At 6.30am, there was a knock on the door. Expecting it to be our ever-early chairman, we were all quite stunned too see Bryan waiting. Like -? Thats 45 minutes early. 2N_{2! =.=

Day One started off quite well (as far as I can remember).

The 3 groups sucked badly so they eventually got scolded by Yang En over their crap presentation, crap cheer, crap logo etc etc. Unfortunately I was with Linus at Pasir Ris, authorising the chalet with Dickson.

When I got back to VS, I took a look at their magnificent posters and was like - [insert -__- face expression here] Only the one by Nil Simi Kuaboleh (comprising of Eusebio, Benjamin, Wee Bian and Chen Ee) looked decent. Maybe because they drew their chair [a muscular sheep]and vice chair [a melting cube] on their logo. =) 6-3 (Lin Chun, Bryan, Zhu Bin, Wai Hong) looked strangely copied. J⁴ (Jordan, Jing Qun, Jun Wei, Jun Ngee [Emersius LAH!]) had a nice group name, but the logo killed them.

Had backstab after that. Was really disorganised and stuff. (Did you sec2s notice that? O.O) John was the ultimate, going on a killing spree, killing like 6 people. I/We killed Wee Bian by shouting "VINCENT OOI! OOI!" Poor Wee Bian fell for the trick, responding immediately with repeated screams of "OI OI OI!".

Race to the chalet was er... slack for me. Took a cab down to Costa Sands Chalet with 2 mini-whiteboards, a radio and other random logistics. I think the taxi driver was quite stunned to see Vincent and John loading the logs in the back seat, hogging up the entire back row, while the passenger sat at the front. With more logs.

At the night, Sec 2s were forced to watch Hotel Rwanda. Emo movie. (For me lah.). while Yang En, Linus, John, Vincent and I went to buy more food. Rushed back to see the entire chalet in a mess.

Obviously we were very unhappy about they (the sec2s) not listening to Hao Ming and Wen Jun. So had to take action(s).

Sent 4 people for pumping outside.

*fast forward this part; its unhappy memories*

Benjamin and Chen Ee were quite brave, to say the least.

Day 2 was quite tiring. Set the sec2s off for Treasure Hunt, in which they had to run around to catch their seniors. When the seniors where caught, they were supposed to make the group do a task.

I made a group do 75 push-ups (done) since the lampost which I was at was number 75. I made a group spell my name backwards in 5 seconds. (Failed) Surprising, given the fact that Emersius and Jordan were in that group. I made a group clean my muddy shoes.

Then I lost the shoes the next day. Wen Jun tells me that a group of mats were talking about "taking shoes". Well, they are probably a bunch of idiots whose life ambition is to kope a pair of $1.90 slippers (that belonged to John). Many members lost their shoes too. =(

So I had to go around for the amazing race (day 3) in slippers. Running around the entire Singapore in slippers is NOT FUN.

My group, Wee Bian, Jordan, Zhu Bin did VERY poorly. Wasted. Hmmm...

Hope that they at least had fun.

Then talentime..... (I'm getting lazy, can't you see? =p)

We stayed up until 3am in the morning to decide our two co facilitators. We were high (on snacks) and drunk (with plain water) then.

Conked out only to wake up on day 4 9.00am. The sec2s had fallen in 30 minutes earlier. Made me feel damn bad. They had fallen in for half an hour. =(

Broke camp.

Time passes so fast. In a few hour's time, its back to school! Quite mixed reactions really.

Looking forward to co practice, and seeing all my friends. But hate to go for lessons and hate to see people I hate.

Lets see. PAL, A maths, English and SS/History. Wow. Sian-ed on PAL, A maths and English. Just can't pay attention during these lessons. (Well, PAL is just boring.)

Homework. I have given up on completing ALL before tommorrow. Can't be bothered to draw graphs and sketch modulus ones. Actually, I kind of felt good doing all the homework. Thats beacuse this is my first time actually doing homework. Well, my 22-points explains that. From now on, I'm going to do all my homework properly. (Lets forget about the holiday homeworks.)

Its kinda sad, really, to see Thierry Henry going to Barcalona. Its like the 'face' of Arsenal pang-sehing his club? You can say that its time for reconstruction etc but its still a big loss. Especially at a time where Arsenal needs some morale-booster. Gunner for life, eh? Although I'm not an Arsenal fan, (I support Man U) I still think its sad that Arsenal lost Henry. For now, I just think that Barca is simply unstoppable in attack. Its interesting to see how Frank Rijkaard will play his fowards.

Ahh. Enough soccer. Got to get some sleep.

Co camp was uber fun. Could be more fun if certain people did not spoil it. Amazing Race was, erm.. kinda fun? (as a point of view as a gamemaster [something tells me the language structure is wrong, but heck with it.]) The facilitators and the members were buzzing around, searching for ~~pollen~~ clues for their Amazing Race: Parade² (Marine Parade and Parkway Parade)

Oh by the way, they were wearing the bumblebee attire. BUZZ!

Rushed home straightaway from parkway for tuition, then rushed back to parkway to meet the committee campers. See how staying two-bus-stops-away-from-vs may be a little no life at times.

Finally learnt how to wash a shirt during the stayover. You see, I spilt Oreo Bubble Tea, which was brown in colour, on my PSB shirt. Didnt realise it until Yang En pointed it out (thankfully) 0.52982476 seconds later. John, having alots of experiences washing clothes through church camps, taught me how to wash without a washing machine. YAY. :D

Our 'nature walk' around the school was quite screwed up. Walk, see a rest point, then slack there and talk crap, until someone points out that its time to go. Spent alot of time at the fitness station, where everyone started trying out funny stuffs (like from climbing the rope to swinging it to etc etc.) Well, even Bryan and Vincent took part. Rare phenomenon. Talked about nightwalks, and apparently -that- section of the field seems wrong.

I thought it was just me when I heard babies crying. Didnt dare to look into the darkness, or up in the trees. Strangely enough, I never really paid much attention to that fact until when we were talking about it that night. Really freaked me out to hear that Linus and John were also scared about that place. New nightwalk story. Ohwell.

Slept with Wee Bian on the PB room sofa (since PSB room was used by John Cheo, Naresh, Calvin, Jarren etc to mug.)

Man. That sounds so wrong, sleeping with Wee Bian on the sofa. Actually I slept on the left, he slept on the right. Thats all. (I bet you're disappointed and WANT MORE right?) Tried out a couple of wierd sleeping positions on the sofa, but was unable to sleep well. The people outside kept making alot of noise. Thanks alot guys. =.=

In the morning, the camperCLAN (Linus. Yang En. John. Vincent. Wen Jun. Chen Ee. Bryan. Emersius. Jing Qun. Wee Bian. Benjamin.) went to Macs for breakfast. (except John and Benjamin.) Had ICED MILO for drink. yeahh.

DAY TWO of the camp was pretty much fun. Had a remix of station games called Mental Physical Games. Helped out at transfer the bucket, since Vincent and Chen Ee were quite lost on setting up the station. Became their chief-rope-tier. HEY NOW I CAN BECOME A CAMP INSTRUCTOR TOO! Hey wait... Camp Instructors dont tie ropes... Ahh. ~~lame.~~

Impromptu Wet Games (look, it was really impromptu, we went to buy logistics on the day itself.) was followed by sectionals. But I'm glad we managed to end everything on a high note (without using a ladder) with our PRIZE GIVING! (:

I think Emersius's family is quite cool lah. Its like, they want to go somewhere, then the next day, they're off to that place. (Isn't that what impromptu holidays mean?)

Caught a fever and headache on friday, so couldnt go to Linus's house for some discussion thingy. The fever was a really bad experience; I was hungry but had no appetitite. I felt bored but did not want to do anything. Can't msn etc etc since staring at the screen will make me have a bigger headache.

Phew. The fever's subsided. I'm relatively ok now. Yeah I do miss you guys. Looks like I've been missing alot.

Theres a dry run tommorrow. I kinda expect it to be mostly fun, abit sian only. Looking forward to that tommorrow.

All the brunei people have come back, and start telling stories of "Driving the Boat", "Sex Tape Recording" (OK, I won't say who was the 'expert-on-subject'.) Then, they start to talk about how they were treated like kings there, etc etc. (go to http://mrsiow.blogspot.com/ if you REFUSE to hear it from THEM) Realised that a certain someone is right afterall. Won't elaborate on this.

Well, in the morning went with a group of people to meet with another group of people to discuss certain issues. I'm certain that -you- don't meet to know about this certain issue, certainly not. Yep, it was great meeting you people. (tag if you are reading this!)

And in the evening, met Sherwin, Daniel, Wei Jie, Chin Boon, Glen, Johnathan, Carlos and Alvin and went for dinner. (looks familiar? Its the AMAZING RACE PEOPLE xD) Supposed to be some feedback session. Really enjoyed it (: Learnt some stuff. The exchange was very interesting.

Oh and I met this guy Johnathan, studying in Temasek Polytechinic. Guess wad? He was from CO too! And he plays the gaoyinsheng. And YES, HE'S NOT A CO FAG. Yeah, and we exchanged msn. He has not added me yet. Can see some similarites between the both of us, for example we have some interest in IT, and are from co. Cool. cool.

On my way back to two bus stops from VS , talked with Daniel AKA nano. Learnt some interesting techniques. (haha)

Well, I'm pangseh-ing dota for another game. Its called Grand Theft Auto III. Really violent game, goes against CME values. But its a nice game! (or thats what I think. Nice sandbox-style, nice storyline, but just too bao li.) Just don't get -too violent- after that and start stealing cars on the street. (You won't respawn in the hospital if you're killed in real life anyway.) Need to do holiday homework soon, so will most likely be panseh-ing this game.

Hmm dota reminds me of what Marcus said to Daniel Tan yesterday. Johnathan was talking to Ren An about dota, then Daniel didnt know what they were talking about. So Marcus said,"Once anyone talks about heros, creeps, towers...... and oh yeah RAPIER! It means that they are talking about dota. " haha.

Went to Daniel's organised Amazing Race just now. Got Linus, Glen and Sherwin in my team, since Musli ~~pangseh-ed~~ us. Quite fun lah. The 'black shirts' team made up of Chin Boon, Wei Jie, Timothy and Marcus also took part. It was only 6 stations around the east, but it was sure tiring. Especially with the other group clueless on where to go next and ended up following us. (or maybe they were playing some mind games with us.) Anyway, we ended up finishing second, losing out to the 'black shirts' team. Seriously, they are damn imba at amazing race. They had the lead from the start. Oh and the co-organiser, Alvin was also a victorian, a camp instructor. That time, he said, camp instructors did everything, inculding cheering in mass events. (Btw, at that time, the camp instructors were trained in LTC (meaning those who passed out from LTC then were called camp instructors, not junior leaders; until one year that CIC was formed.) After the race, we went to a church convention.

Although I'm not a christian, I felt that I at least learnt something. Although I didnt know the songs or prayers or verses.

Hmm. Went out with WeiLiang, Amos, Jing Qun and Chen Ee. While they go play, I stoned at a corner doing A & E Maths Holiday Homework. I got stumped on a binomial question, but luckily Mr Tan Wei Liang was there to help! Thanks alot! (: Haha sorry Wei Liang, made you help me so you had to rush from the pool too where I was siting to help. LOL I wore the bumblebee there. Met Aloysius (ex-classmate, not my YOUNGER bro!) there too.

Handover BBQ. MUCH BETTER THAN THE CO ONE LAH! (duh) Talked to Ren An during the BBQ. It was then when I really realised something. And I found out that Ren An has the same thinking as me (over a certain subject). It was really enlightening for me.

Oops forgot something. In the morning, went to the co room so Daryl How could return me the key. Jason was also there. Talked LOTS OF CRAP. But I learnt something again! Experience was really fun. (:

For the seven of them (from VSCO), they are the really lucky ones. Last time the brunei trip was meant for ALL of us to go. (er thats wad I think, or maybe-?) That was way back in like June 2006. That time, we where supposed to go with the Table-Tennis peeps. Then, our number got slashed to like until 20. Then there was a supposed 'date' for the trip, then suddenly we heard nothing about it. Heard it got canceled. This year, suddenly, it was announced that only 10 people could go to brunei. 10 people were shortlisted and so-called "confirm" going. The list was shortened to 6 and then 7 people. (meaning people got kicked out). Hmm unfortunately/fortunately, I couldnt go (Would I even be on the shortlist?) due to some reason.

YES! I BEAT BRYAN! I'M NOW THE BEST DOTA PLAYER IN VSCO!

i wish. The truth: i got pwned/thrashed/whacked/owned/anhilated/destroyed/wiped out /____ (fill in the blank) by bryan. 10 kills to my 0. He chose a funny hero (which was chosen randomly for him by the AI, and name I can't seem the remember. Was it oblivion? Hmm no, since he randomed that hero against my brother.), while I chose a hero which was deemed quite-easy-to-start hero by my brother. Go Kardel. I still don't know how the freaking hell i managed to beat Bryan in the final score.

During the game, when I got killed by Bryan (AGAIN!), and I was waiting to respawn, Bryan told me something. (Emersius and Chen Ee the both of you can start laughing now.) I'm better than the average noob. Unfortunately, Emersius is MUCH MUCH better than me! T.T Let me to a corner and emo.

See la, Emersius. Call me pro when you are BETTER than me. =.= OH i finally realised why i'm so LOUSY at dota. Its because I take History. (Thefore, I cannot farm as well as Geography students.) I don't find dotA -that- addictive. After one game (which lasts 45min to 1 1/2 hours) I will feel bored and start playing some other game. Sometimes, during a game, the boring-ness hits me and i F10-Q-X. (Did I get the keys correct? Dota Fags please correct me if I'm wrong.) But don't get me wrong, I'm not a leaver. I only quit games I play against the com. Online experience is so different. Its more fun!

HP- stands for 3 things.

1)Harry Potter. Cool, the final books' coming out this year. Lets look forward to 21 July! Right, Jing Qun? Hey i just realised hp stands for Harry Pan (the tjc pipa soloist)! Teach me a thousand sweeps! (without a broom) So I can go to angus and say,"IN YOUR FACE!" **shudders at thought**

firstly, my SHIT results. a c5 for english and emaths is very poor to me. i honestly admit, this results screw-up is totally my fault. havent been working hard. expecting the worst to come on monday. higher chinese, SS/history etc etc.

and it sounds like SHIT. and attendence is like.. urgh. its a long way for reconstruction, man.

my favourite camp.
I was still good friends with joel then. It was the camp that made me realise my mistake. Really bonded with my peers, juinors and seniors. learnt more about my peers (linus and max), juniors (bryan and emersius) and seniors (hinkai, and seryang). The rest either i already bonded alot with them or didnt talk much to them.

haha max was so funni. made the co camp so enjoyable. sad thing joel is kinda influencing him. ):
i didnt say anything at all to linus before this camp. didnt kinda like him then. But after this camp, we became good friends. xD
ahh i also didnt like bryan before the camp. thought he was some attitude sec1. but on the first day i realised that hes a nice guy (:
emersius ah emersius. you were so quiet, dao and innocent then. now become much more dao, less quiet and less innocent. lol. speak up more la!

on the last nite of the coltc, EVERYONE went upstairs to play cards (learn bridge). all except eusebio, chen ee, emersius, john and me. chen ee was tired so he went to sleep. i wanted to play daidi with all of them de. but no one knew how to play then. except me. then i pass de cards to eusebio and emersius. asked them to play. emersius was such a lousy shuffler then. really lousy. emersius and eusebio played STRESS. (pls la, they only sec1, havent learnt bridge/daidi then)

ahh. realised co put me for red shirt interview. became a doubler. realised what the victorian spirit is all about. matured alot during both ltc and pltc.

by this time, i had already bonded with vsco. its more then just a cca. its my passion. made alot of friends. (seniors and juniors)

practise has been very hiong this week. end around 6.30-ish
its less than a week from syf.

Im seriously considering if i should apply for a black shirt. I realise that there is alot to do for co, and adding the academics and black shirts, surely STRESS out de. Of course, academics and co are my first priorities (:

not sure if im looking forward to after syf. i mean, its interesting doing the reconstruction stuff but i will definitely miss the sec4s. ):

camp breaked

Its over, finally.

I didnt really enjoy myself at the camp. At least most of the rest enjoyed it. It was a different experience, going to sec1 camp as a peer leader, going to sec3 camp as a normal participant/redshirt, going to convention as the organising commitee, now go co camp as one of the sec3 comm members. The responsiblity for each one is different. esp as for the sec1 camp and co camp, alot of ppl are looking at you. In the co camp, you will be constantly bombarded with questions like "can i get my handphone back? In the sec1 camp, the ~~enthu~~ sec1s will bug you with "what time is dinner/lunch?"

Gosh, the sec1s have a lot to learn. In terms of attitude and discipline. At 1.00am of the second day, yangen and i caught a group of sec1s playing poker cards. They played BLACKJACK. omg wad a low class game. I mean, if you really wanna play, then at least learn daidi la! Or you can play the 'high class' game called bridge! And secondly, cards are banned anyway :l

Name calling is another issue with the sec1s. The sec1s are picking it up very fast. ): bad sign.

Nitewalk. Ended up using the PL nitewalk route coz linus was too tired/stressed out. At least we can save our ideas for the next nightwalk (: Swaped roles with alot of ppl until i got the role i wanted: OVERALL PATROLLER (op -.-) chose a cool blue lightstick to be my "weapon on choice". Nightwalk is less scary without the ghost stories. o.O

They after the ecopond station scare 2/3/4 times in a row. see how evil they are? Esp bryan and emersius :l They also encouraged ~~the capable~~ me to scare ppl =.= but i didnt. (:

During the nitewalk, i followed haiquan around the nitewalk route coz he is kinda scared. Hey he screamed in the gym toilet like 5times in a row after repeated scares? Took the chance to check out on the stations. The lightsticks along the way were not put properly, resulting in confusion. (esp the gym toilet to sandpit). Wow john's kinda good at scaring :l he looked creepy. Zhaopeng, chester and the other non-co ppl helped us in the nitewalk. Zhaopeng broke a lightstick and made his hand glow with lightstick liquid. The liquid kinda freezed or something. Looked liked his hand was mutated and glowing. o.o

The camp planning process was CRAP. Alot of ppl didnt even bother to help out, resulting in a last-minute camp planned by the sec4 comm. Actually we can't really blame the sec4s for rejecting our proposals. It was really crap anyway. If they did not change the games, it would be much less enjoyable. This shows only one thing: our comm is not well bonded enough.
The sec3s were the disappointing ones. The sec2s were the promising ones.
Promise the next camp will be a much better job. PROMISE.

4th feb 07.sunday.vsco concert.

can't blame the emcees to much la. if they nvr screwup, the concert would be dead.
can'y belive it when i saw the audience on sunday night. its around 70%. wow. and all of us were
kinda worried abt ticket sales. concert's over. next up, CNY concert =)

thurs.
sli rehearsal. its the full dress rehearsal. nothing much? xD
went to thaipan. with seryang,hinkai,yangen,vincent and bryan.
wow. didnt know they had a restaurant at that place.
its a nice place to eat. and to talk abt stuff.

flag-bearing is nothing compared to performing for co.it was sian when waiting for our turns, so i smsed musli and john lame sms-es. no wonder it was dam cold. =P
after vs anthem we did VS spelling cheer. sound like shit. after sli, went to canteen to do cheer. did anthem + spelling cheer. spelling cheer sound like shit. again.
after sli, went thaipan again. this time went thaipan with

lucky didnt go for chingay parade. if not really can't cope. haiz. rgs ppl chasing me liao. for convention. im in organising com de wad. plan icebreakers and the concert. slack until liddat. but im not alone =) hopefully after co concert will have MORE time to do stuff.

yay im baackk frm sec1 camp. OGL {orientation group leader} leh. every class got 2 OGLs, one peer leader(PL), one camp instructor(CI). ~~obviously~~ im ogl of 1I with daniel tan, sec 4 SPSL + camp instructor.

DAY ONE

haha while the ogls were waiting for the buses, we lamed around abit. then 1I board the bus with miss tay {1I form teacher}

on de bus,daniel and i teached the sec1s how to do VS unite and VS anthem.... so both of us do lor. (only 2 of us doing the cheer and anthem)

reached Jalan Bahtera MOE adventure camp. placed bags in the MPH {~~mad people hospital~~ multi purpose hall}. then got BELAYING SCHOOL. after that then lunch. wtf the sec1s all chiong like nvr see food b4. after lunch, its time for ....ACTIVITY ONE (CRC) rope course thingy.

didnt hav enuff helmets, so i could not enter the CRC area so i helped out at the 'tyre' and 'nitro crossing' activities....then while waiting for the other half of de class i asked them to play WHACKO as icebreaker. jinmeng {other PL of 1I;camp instructor} was free so he oso helped me facilitate the game. we took the oportunity to learn some of their names =)
then we go ACTIVITY TWO (zip line AKA ~~firefox~~ flying fox AND abseiling)
they didnt hav enuff camp instructors, so i be one lor. ~~(yay im a 2½ red shirt -.-)~~wayne (CI/ogl of 1H) taught me how to do belaying for abseiling. wow its dam fun de.after that got no more activities.
at night me and jinmeng ask the ppl at de bunk to sleep. got one ~~guai lan~~ person say he every day sleep at 1am, so he didnt want to sleep. then me and jinmeng ask him to at least lie down. the nxt day when the ppl are supposed to go parade sq for PT @ 7am, he was still sleeping. wtf.

DAY TWO
ACTIVITY ONE(of day 2) cluster games. [human chess + cat and mouse + bouncing babies]. human chess is like chess. ~~dur~~
in order of rank: general.captain.private.spy.flag. (paiseh i tink still got 1 more but i forget) general can kill all except spy and flag. spy can kill ONLY flag and general) flags cannot attack. to win the game, destroy the opponent's flag.each team appoint one chessmaster to move de pieces around. when the pieces are facing each other , they battle. (eg. GENERAL vs private) private wins, so the general gets to throw flour at the private's face =D) if it is a draw nothing happens. if the team lose, the other team throws flour at the chessmaster. yea i noe my explanation ~~very~~ DAM lousy so its abit the confusing.
cat and mouse is some lame game la, so no need to explain =)
bouncing babies is use waterbombs to play soccer, but to pass, muz use the shirt to pass/recieve the waterbomb. if not carefull , the bomb will drop/burst.

activity TWO (nature rumble)
haha it kinda reminds me of LTC water obs/swamp walk. except that the water is pure ~~malcolm~~black coz they put charcoal inside the water. so alot of ppl become black shirts.... i mean shirt black, not become spsl,sl or cl -.-

after lunch is ... ACTIVITY THREE, FT time -.-

miss tay/mr aw yong(aft of 1I) let them sleep for 30min... wow....

activity four. KAYAKING.
actually i kinda dam scared my kayak will overturn etc etc coz the last time i kayaked was 2 years ago and i kayaked with (of all ppl)ZY -.-
but actually its dam fun to kayak alone la. but tiring. =)

CAMP FIRE!! kinda... boring/disappointing. but at least can tell lame jokes with weiguang/musli/gavin. after campfire, we continue to tell lame jokes until we got high and told even more lame jokes and started to have the top ten lame jokes of the camp. i tink my 4/5 of my jokes got top ten.... =) haha malcolm got none. why? coz his lame jokes is seriously BAD. i mean we tell lame jokes we still can laugh at it or say WA LAO LAME!!, but malcolm's jokeS is ...... dam bad la.
then we oso have the ZHIYUAN CLAPS, created by me. haha is dam spastic/lame. only 2Io6 will understand de actions. we have ...

nxt day. break camp. on the bus we talk to them about VS. after dismissing them, jinmeng and i talked to miss tay abt the class. we told her the 3 troublemakers in class and the potential leaders in class. saw few potiental red shirts. i mean AOP {~~all obese ppl~~ anti obesity program} sport fit de red shirt la.

the sec1 was fun la. dun regret going coz made new frenz there, and really cheered until voice hoarse. but the best part was bonding MORE with the 2Io6 ppl. =) ``altough this may be the last camp we go together and can have lots of free time liddat; i enjoyed EVERY moment with u guys! jiayou! ``

yesterday, i went to ZY's house to countdown with ~~the 2I ppl~~ few of the 2I ppl. it was...kinda...disappointing la.

met at ntuc. tommy, weiguang,kenneth,tamim, zhi yuan were already there. then gavin and nicholas(his bro) came. ~~then we collect debts~~. then mr khor came in.... miss noorreny's car o.0
then we talk more crap.

[mr khor]:**talking abt something which i forgot**

[mr khor]: (looking at my bro) hey why am i seeing double?

[miss noorreny]: they're TWINS, boh-doh!

then everyone started guessing who is me and who is my bro. -.- zy lives in a HDB flat. we played daidi + blackjack. (no $$$ involved). haha then we invite the teachers to play cards. mr khor didn't how to play daidi, BUT MISS NOORRENY NOES!
haha then we play blackjack first. then we give out the cards. we oso give miss noorreny the cards. then she say she dunno who to play blackjack -.- then mr khor help her. the he said: (in a joking tone) "hey all of u bet $50 rite?" then he show miss noorreny's cards. ACE PAIR LEH! we all pretend to be stuned.(coz tommy and i fixed the ace pair)

so we play DAIDI!! {me + tommy + miss noorreny + tamim}

then we play.(im guiding weiguang, until now he still dunno how to play -.-)

then tommy throw 7?,7? pair. then miss noorreny throw 7?,7?!! we were... seriously stunned.
2 "7?" in one deck...then we started calling her "gambling queen" =) (we didnt fix the cards this time)

then we had some mini drinking session.

haha nvr blog for one week le... haha. ytd was briefing for sec one orientation. peer leaders were assigned classes.
I GOT 1I!!!
haha dam happy when i heard that. will be working with josh,jin meng and sundar. haha 1I my favourite sec 1 class! (coz im from 1I -.-) haha ppl from co in 1I:me,yangen,emerz and angus. haha hope got more of *this kind* and less of *that kind* of new juinors. {co ppl SHLD know wad i mean.} hmm im oso the CLASS IC of 1I..which means i will be going for sec 1 camp.

then after co prac, got maris stella CONCERT. haha bryan sit beside me, then we talk a lot of crap. eg the percussionist;erhu-istS;OUR concert.during the intermission vincent told one of my dam old jokes. haha.

end of concert, we {me, bryan, linus, chen ee, seryang, emerz, vincent OOI, hanhao, hinkai, weebian, weiliang, } went Lao Ba Sha for dinner.

dunno wad to buy, so ended up buying ~~HCL {hydrochloric acid}~~ HCR {haiwanese chicken rice}. then while waiting for the others to eat finish, then we take photos lol. haha i become the photographer for SOME photos. reached home @ 11.50pm.

then TODAY... orientation. HAHA I GOT GLENS BRO GARETH IN MY CLASS!

[to mr low(if you are reading this o.0): u forgot to tell them wad NIL SINE LABORE means!] haha mb you plan to tell the sec 1s later.

after the leading the sec1s, went to help out at co. actually im kinda disappointed with this years co orientation. alot of stuff we the comm planned to do didnt happen. i heard this year we only 6 ppl. wtf. last year we had 21+.

after helping out, we {me, weebian, yangen, vincent OOI, emerz, bryan, jingqun, weiliang, hinkai, daryl how, benjamin and amos} went to YOSHINOYA for lunch. then we played the taiwanese number game. (the 1-100 thingy). "lucky person" who guess the no has to eat the yoshinoya chilli.

and the sec 3 classes came out. i got 3c.
at first i was dam sad la, coz i tot 3C was a lousy class. then i found out most of my frenz in 3C! and all the buggers i dislike all go other classes! then dam high la. but ill miss most if the 2I'06 ppl.

i feel sad for my frenz who are going 3G.(linus and john) omg thats a dam LOUSY class. (lousy not in terms of acad, but of ATTITUDE.)
and those ppl go got in 3A/3D. its seriously sad case la. good acad results,but DAM LOUSY classmates.

ITS VERY DIFF FROM RED SHIRT INTERVIEW! in terms of questions and "atmosphere" lol. i tink i was kinda nervous during the interview.haha me + 2 others shld be competiting for *that comm post* but im sure its not only the 3 ppl that is competiting...btw i heard the post been decided lol.then today.... SEC1 registration! haha met glen's and mushin's bros.most of the parents,typical singaporeans,tot "i come early coz NO ONE will come and will get things done FIRST.." Reg 9am. the PSLs @ the foyer giving out the file {me + musli + mushin + haoming} finished 75% of the list at 8.45...so dam sad case, still need to wait till 12pm.later i went MOS BURGER with yangen + josh + glen + linus + haoming. Talked alot of crap there, then go co prac -.-
